Kelling Heath narrowly misses out on top tourism award

North Norfolk’s Kelling Heath Holiday Park just missed out on honours in England’s top tourism awards.

Kelling was highly commended in the Sustainable Tourism category of the prestigious VisitEngland Awards for Excellence. The Park was praised for its expertise in sustainability, arboriculture, conservation and wildlife.

The awards, held in Leicester, saw Kelling face tough competition from businesses in Derbyshire, Cumbria and Devon. Whetland Farm in Devon was the eventual winner of the Gold Award. Nicola Badley, Environment Officer at Blue Sky Leisure, said:

“To be highly commended in such a prestigious national award, that recognises the very best of English Tourism, is testament to our dedication and hard work. We learnt much from competing in the awards and will put that knowledge to making Kelling Heath even better when it comes to sustainability. Conserving the natural environment is a vital part of the ethos of our business and the team at Kelling Heath is committed to maintaining a sustainable environment for visitors and wildlife alike, and to protect it for future generations to enjoy.”
